Certificates and Contact Hours
Certificates of Completion
NOTE: A Certificate of Completion includes Continuing Education Hours.
- Certificates of Completion are provided to participants at the end of the training, after the Post Evaluation is completed and submitted.
- Completing the Post Evaluation is a required activity for every training to receive a Certificate of Completion and CEHs.
- Participants must sign in both in the morning and afternoon, and attend the entire training, actively participate and respond during online training, and complete the Post Evaluation to obtain credit (Certificate of Completion and CEHs) for the training.
IMPORTANT: Certificates of Completion will not be issued to participants who miss more than 15 minutes of a training.
Requirements for Certificates
Certificates of Completion are issued to participants upon the satisfactory completion of a training event. Satisfactory completion is defined as a participant having completed all the requirements and attended all sessions in full.
- Certificates are held if payment for the training has not been received. When payment is received, the Certificate will be emailed to the participant. (Please provide a correct email address you would like your Certificate sent to when you register.)
- If a Certificate is mailed, those returned in the mail or not delivered by your department(s) will not be re-mailed.
- Contact the Kamama Training Coordinator (Contreta Endwarrior) or speak to the trainer (during the training) if you are unable to be present in the training at all scheduled times.
- Trainings begin and end promptly at the scheduled times unless determined otherwise by the trainer at the beginning of the training.
- Live web-based training participants are monitored through the attendance report, as well as participation throughout the entire training. If a participant is not actively participating or responsive during the training, for example, not responding when directly addressed or not participating in breakout sessions, they will not be eligible for a Certificate.
- If you have an outstanding balance with the training system, you will not receive a Certificate until the balance is paid.
- If you have questions about Certificates, contact Contreta Endwarrior by email: support@nmpreventionworkforce.org
Certificate of Attendance
NOTE: A Certificate of Attendance does not include Continuing Education Hours.
- A participant who misses 15 minutes to 60 minutes of a training can request a “Certificate of Attendance” by contacting the Training System by email: support@nmpreventionworkforce.org.
- A Certificate of Attendance will be issued and emailed out reflecting the actual time the participant attended the training, but will not have Continuing Education Hours.
- If more than 60 minutes of the training is missed no Certificate of Attendance will be issued.
Continuing Education Hours (CEH)
The NM ATODU Prevention Workforce Training System is an approved provider of Continuing Education Hours for the NM Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals. Our provider number is 1021. These Continuing Education Hours are acceptable for the Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) certification requirements. Training hours may also be applied to Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification.
- If a participant misses more than 15 minutes of a training, no Continuing Education Hours will be awarded. This includes live web-based training and hybrid trainings, as well as in-person trainings.
- A participant may be able to receive a Certificate with Continuing Education Hours if they miss 30 minutes or less only if they experience an unexpected emergency. If you miss up to 30 minutes and you want to request Continuing Education Hours, the following must happen:
- You must contact the Training System within 48 business hours of the training. Do not attempt to address this issue with the trainer.
- You must provide justification for your missed time and proof to support your claim.
- Participants that have more than two requests in one year will not be considered.
- A decision will be made based on your justification and proof. All decisions are final.
