Certificates of Completion

Certificates of Completion will be provided to participants at the end of the workshop.

Certificates of Completion will be issued to participants upon the satisfactory completion of a training event. Satisfactory completion is defined as a participant having completed all the documentation and attended all sessions in full. Certificates of completion will not be issued to absent participants.

Certificates are held if payment has not been received. When payment is received, the certificate will be mailed to the participant. Please provide an address you would like your certificate mailed to during the registration process. Certificates returned in the mail or not delivered by your department(s) will not be re-mailed.

If you have questions about certificates, contact Contreta by email: logistics@nmpreventionworkforce.org

Contact Hours / Continuing Education Hours (CEH)

Contact Hours are acceptable both for Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) and Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification.

If a participant misses more than 15 minutes of a workshop, no Continuing Education Hours will be awarded. The participant that misses 15 minutes or more of a training can request a certificate of attendance to logistics@nmpreventionworkforce.org.  A certificate of attendance will be issued and mailed out reflecting the time the participant attended the training, but will not have Continuing Education Hours.  On a case by case basis, a participant may be able to received a certificate with Continuing Education Hours if they miss 30 minutes or less.

The following needs to happen if you miss up to 30 minutes and want to request Continuing Education Hours:

  • You must contact the Training System within 48 hours of the training. Do not attempt to address this issue with the trainer, this will result in no Continuing Education Hours being issued.
  • You must provide justification for your missed time and proof to support your claim.
  • Participants that have more than 2 requests in 1 year will not be considered.
  • A decision will be made based on your justification and proof. All decisions are final.

Policy Specific to Online Training Completion

  • Online trainings have the same registration and payment requirements as in person trainings. Each online training is limited to 20 participants. Please register for an online training ONLY if you intend to complete the entire training.
  • Be advised an online training requires dedicated time and attention for work that must be submitted in order to successfully complete the online training. Due to the time sensitivity and attention needed an online training is more intensive than an in-person training. Each online training will have the number of hours it will take to complete the training listed on the registration page. Plan to spend that much time completing the course.
  • Participants who do not complete the pre-test by the 3rd day of training will be dropped from the course. This will be considered a “no show” and will result in the no show fee

Core team members
Core Team Members who register, and do not cancel registration 5 business days prior to the start of online training or who do not complete the online training during the designated time are considered late cancelations.

Any Core Team Member who does not complete 2 online trainings will need to pay full price if they register for another online training. Only after paying for, and completing this training, will you be eligible to attend future online trainings at no cost.

Non-Core Team Members
Payment must be made 3 business days before the online training or you will be dropped from the registration list. Participants who do not complete the course in the designated time will not be issued a refund.
