E-Cigs: What Preventionist Need to Know

Electronic cigarette (also known as e-cig, JUUL, vape pen, and vaporizer) use rates are rapidly rising. They are one of the most used substances by both middle school and high school students. What makes them so appealing to adults and youth? This training will explore what e-cigs are, how they compare to commercial combustible cigarettes, and how they affect the body. Participants will examine use data, populations heavily burdened by e-cigs, and recent changes to laws. The training will also review best practices in prevention to reduce e-cig use.
